KRAV welcomes new certification bodies interested in offering KRAV certification!
A certification body which certifies according to the KRAV standard must be accredited according to ISO Guide 65/EN 45 011. In Sweden, SWEDAC (Swedish Board for Accreditation and Conformity Assessment) accredits. Internationally accreditation in accordance with IFOAM (International Federation of Organic Agriculture Movements) criteria is performed by IOAS (International Organic Accreditation Service).
The certification body shall have a documented, structured environment management and be able to show that it:
• has an environmental policy
• sets up annual targets
• systematically follows up these targets
If you want to certify in accordance with the KRAV standard, please apply for a certification agreement with KRAV. Along with the application, please submit a copy of agreements with accreditation bodies and a timetable for accreditation. If you are accredited, submit a current accreditation certificate.
Chapter 18 in the KRAV standard, "Standards for approved certification bodies" describes the other requirements for certification bodies and auditors.
